Sinequa accompanies French Minister Fleur Pellerin, in charge of Small Businesses, Innovation, and the Digital Economy, on a trip to Asia
Paris, 22 April 2013 - In its support program for the development of small and medium sized businesses (SMB), French foreign trade organization UBIFrance organized a second trip to Asia on 23 ? 29 March, taking along the 24 directors of SMBs that had participated in a first trip to Japan in December last year. Sinequa is pleased to have been part, together with the other 23 SMB directors, of the official delegation of Minister Fleur Pellerin.
ZDNet registered the impact of the Minister's presence on their Asian hosts: "The organizers were surprised that the Minister, certainly aided by her Korean roots, got a reception like a head of state, and all the local media wanted her on the front page." This trip to South Korea and Japan presented an opportunity to France to showcase the start-ups in the ministerial delegation and their innovative technologies."
For Sinequa, Japan and South Korea turned out to be very promising destinations.
“This trip allowed us to consolidate the first exchanges with big Japanese players of the digital economy that we had started during the December trip to Tokyo, and that we could not have achieved without the support of UBIFrance” states Alexandre Bilger, CEO of Sinequa. “We have seen a growing awareness amongst our Asian contacts of our capacity to deal with Asian and European languages in great depth and in very large text volumes (“Big Data”) – and of the potential benefits for their business”.
