Your Role:
The Presales Consultant brings technical expertise and deep knowledge of Sinequa's offering to the sales process to plan and deliver quick "mini-projects" (proofs-of-concept) built using Sinequa software that showcase the platform's capabilities in the customer's business context. Presales Consultants are able to understand and translate business needs into technical capabilities and business needs, so that they can craft, communicate, and demonstrate the benefits that a Sinequa solution provides.

Your responsibilities:

  • Assist the sales team by regular participation on sales calls, understanding customers' needs
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the customer's business and how their needs align with Sinequa's benefits
  • Create and deliver presentations to prospects that speak to Sinequa's capabilities, experience, and suitability for the prospect's goals
  • Give demonstrations of Sinequa software, explaining the benefits of its various features
  • Configure the Sinequa software to connect to data sources, index and analyze documents, optimize searches, and present results to business users
  • Create proposals for PoCs, working to understand customer goals and craft a PoC that addresses their needs and guides vision
  • Provide resource and timing estimates for a PoC
  • Train prospects in the use of Sinequa software
  • Respond to RFIs and RFPs, writing answers to specific prospect questions and gathering/coordinating responses to technical questions

Your background:

  • 2+ years of programming experience with a modern language and/or formal training in structured programming; experience with .NET, HTML, and CSS strongly preferred
  • High proficiency in all Microsoft Office tools
  • 2+ years assisting with software sales, including software presentations and demonstrations
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS/IS/IT, engineering)

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in enterprise search
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in content management
  • Experience or formal training in databases and structured data
  • Experience with unstructured data (NLP, text processing)
  • Experience with Machine Learning and/or Big Data
  • Master's degree
